Cliff and Friends

November 2015 saw Hank Marvin’s Gypsy Jazz doing a short concert tour starting in Nelson and moving through to Wellington, Auckland back to Tauranga, and latterly returning to Auckland. The group consisted of Hank, Nunzio Mondia (accordian), Gary Taylor (rhythm guitar) and Peter Jeavons on bass. Steve Hilliar master-minded the organisation of the tour, and John Campbell humbly drove the van and carried sundry pieces of musical kit in and out of various venues just ‘coz he could. A most enjoyable week on the road with an all-time guitar hero and just a great bloke – no more, no less.
