“Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, also known as “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. It was originally recorded in 1960 by the Shirelles, who took their single to number one.
Hank Marvin included this track as the final track on his 2017 Album “Without a Word”
He made a fantastic arrangement and I was dying to record it from the first time I heard it.
My son Andrew made a great BT which lines up perfectly with Hanks recording and I recorded it using my Fender custom 56 nos with Kinman Impersonator 54 V3 pickups on mid position. – Into an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 1-66 Abbey road reverb. (Also a small amount of compression added using a BOSS CS2 pedal at source ) And recorded in cubase SX 6.
The BT is available to purchase from my website here :- http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk/CD.html
I made out Tabs which I managed to get on one page .. just (useful when making the video !) which are free to download here :- http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk/scores.html
Video made with 3 simultaneous recordings using Sony SR12 camcorders and edited with the cubase sound in Sony Vegas 9.
I have been in contact with the Australian Keyboard/Pianist /organ player on Hanks CD Harry Mitchell and here is his website http://www.harrymitchell.net. Probably the nearest I’ll get to speaking to Hank himself. Lol
Really hope you like “Will you love me tomorrow”
All the best.. Phil http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk
