Not one of Luis Buñuel’s (the father of cinematic surrealism) surreal movies, but a very good and strange one. Luis Buñuel is one of the most original movie makers that ever lived. He was good friends and collaborated with Salvador Dalí.
Love the intro to this movie. Got to have a great intro to set the mood, and man does he do it here, perfect!
If you like strange movies Luis Buñuel is the OG. “The Young One” is a good place to start with Luis Buñuel, then work into his Surrealistic movies. My favorite movies of Buñuel are:
1. The Exterminating Angel
2. That Obscure Object of Desire
3. The Phantom of Liberty
