The Shadows Re-Formed in 1974 after their break up in 1970′ (Bruce leaving in ’68 and then re-joining Hank & John Farrar with Brian on drums) and here is 3 rare live recordings of them on the John Peel radio show from March 1974′ playing Wonderful Land, Jungle Jam and Apache. They also did The Rise And Fall Of Flingel Bunt, Turn Around And Touch Me & Dance On. It is ‘uncanny’ at the end of this video to hear Bruce Welch in ’74 say they are thinking of re-recording ‘Apache’ when they actually did so in 1989′ 15 years later!. The group is Hank Marvin Lead Guitar, Bruce Welch Rhythm Guitar, John Farrar Guitar, Brian Bennett Drums & Piano/Keyboards & Mo Foster Bass Guitar. Later in ’75 The Shadows went onto to represent the Eurovision song contest with Alan Tarney On Bass (who later wet onto to write and produce for Cliff Richard). John Farrar latter left and went onto write songs for Olivia Newton John for Grease. The Shadows have stayed together ever since until 1990′ and reforming in 2004 and 2009 along side Cliff Richard. Enjoy!
