Cliff and Friends

A tonal voyage of discovery in attempting to recreate the sounds of Hank Marvin. Included here is a Squier Hank Marvin Stratocaster Pickup Shootout with the Di Marzio FS-1 Fat Strat single coil against the Seymour Duncan SSL-5 single coil. Test guitars are the Squier 1991 Hank Marvin Signature Stratocaster in Fiesta Red and an Indonesian Squier 2022 50s Classic Vibe Stratocaster in Fiesta Red. For reference I have included the original bridge position stock pickup sounds. Please see my previous video where the stock Signature Hank Marvin Strat pickups are compared to the Di Marzio FS-1 pickup as a replacement in the rear coil position. Attempting to recreate Hank Marvin’s tone isn’t an easy thing!
