GUITAR INSTRUMENTAL BY :- Ian Wilson.

SOUND WAS ACHIEVED BY :-
I played my Fender Stratocaster guitar into a B9 electro- harmonix Organ Machine Pedal then into a Strymon BigSky reverb guitar pedal and then into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen USB Audio Interface, then into
a ‘Reaper Mixing Software’ programme to record the sound whilst playing to the backing track of :- ‘Homburg’
Using Reaper & Guitar Rig, I produced the desired sound required and saved the finished soundtrack to my computer as a MP3 file.
Then I placed the camera footage onto the timeline in CyberLink PowerDirector19, ‘BUT’ I replaced the camera soundtrack with the ‘NEW’
computer mixed soundtrack from Reaper and Guitar Rig, re-edited the footage to produce the finished video of :- ‘Homburg’

HOMBURG / PROCUL HARLUM / LYRICS

Your multilingual business friend
has packed her bags and fled
Leaving only ash-filled ashtrays
and the lipsticked unmade bed
The mirror on reflection
has climbed back upon the wall
for the floor she found descended
and the ceiling was too tall

Your trouser cuffs are dirty
and your shoes are laced up wrong
you’d better take off your homburg
‘cos your overcoat is too long

The town clock in the market square
stands waiting for the hour
when its hands they both turn backwards
and on meeting will devour
both themselves and also any fool
who dares to tell the time
And the sun and moon will shatter
and the signposts cease to sign
Gone too soon
